Antioch’s Childcare Policy

All workers 18 and older who work with children or teens must fill out paper work. A criminal background & sex offender check along with a worker application are required.

Discipline Policy

Nursery
If an issue of discipline occurs, then children will be redirected to another activity, if the disruption continues to the point of upsetting other children the parent will be paged.
If a child placed in the nursery cries for more then 10 minutes after being dropped off, the parent will be paged.

Little Lambs and Wee Worship
If needed, time-outs will be used for the first two offenses. If there is a third offense, a parent will be contacted.

SICKNESS POLICY

Children will not be admitted to the nursery/preschool areas with any of the following symptoms or illnesses:

Fever greater that 100.4 degrees or more
▪Green or yellow secretions from the nose
▪Questionable rashes
▪Constant coughing
▪Diarrhea
▪Chicken pox/shingles
▪Measles
▪Mumps
▪Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
▪Impetigo
▪Scabies
▪Lice
▪Ringworm
▪Fever blisters
▪Strep throat
▪RSV—usually occurs under 2 years of age
▪Pneumonia
▪Fifth’s disease

Please respect the health of our other children and our workers. Please do not bring a sick child to church activities.

A child should be free of the above symptoms or illnesses for at least 24 hours prior to entering the nursery/preschool areas. If a child is being treated with antibiotics for one of the above illnesses, he/she should be on the medication for at least 24 hours prior to entering the nursery/preschool areas.
